Here in Arizona, my grandson was allowed an emotional support animal without breed restrictions and no deposit. When we ran into problems, the State Attorney General Office was a huge help!

In reply to Tonya. Some apartment managers can try to bully their tenants by making them jump through hoops or by making bogus claims that emotional support animals are not allowed in their buildings. This is not only unethical, but illegal as well.

A friend of mine has an ESA, but her apartment management is giving her problems. When you are living in an apartment complex that doesn’t allow pets, it can be tricky to have an emotional support animal. You have to provide certification and a doctor’s approval for the animal. Still, as you said in the last part of this article, ESAs are not protected by the ADA.
