If a landlord is rejecting an ESA they must give the tenant the specific exemption under HUD guidelines they are relying on. Please see this post for more info: https://esadoctors.com/landlord-emotional-support-animal/

Under HUD guidelines, emotional support animals are not subject to rules that restrict the breed of animal you can own. Please see this article for more details: https://esadoctors.com/emotional-support-animal-laws-housing/

Doberman, pitbull, and so on,so with this being said if someone wants to buy a home in the park and they have an emotional care dog but its a breed they don’t allow in the park can they say we can’t have you buy a home in here because we don’t except these type Dogs???

To clarify, an emotional support animal is different from a service dog. An ESA requires a letter from a licensed healthcare professional, but a service dog does not. A service dog also must be trained to perform a job or task relating to a disability. You may find this page helpful: https://esadoctors.com/how-it-works/

Thankfully, with websites like these, the process for acquiring an ESA seems to appear in black and white now. Along with this text above, I would strongly recommend to go through this too to have a clearer picture on getting an ESA.
